15 Jan Youth Soccer Players Enjoy Week 2 of Triple J League
[March 1, 2015 – Harmon, Guam] – For youth soccer athletes, having to miss a match in the Triple J Auto Group Robbie Webber Youth League can put a damper on their Saturday.
“I was sad that I couldn’t come to my first game on opening day because I was sick,” said Cameron Bordallo, who plays for the Orange Crushers FC in the U10 division. “I’m happy that I was able to play in my team’s second game, though. I really like soccer – it’s the only sport I play. I like playing soccer because it’s fun – you get to play the sport with your teammates and kick the ball around a lot.
“I scored one goal for the team today, but I hope to score a lot more in the league,” added the 8-year-old student at Bishop Baumgartner Memorial School.
Bordallo joined over 1,700 youth athletes Feb. 28 in the league’s Week 2 matches at the Guam Football Association National Training Center.
