Wings U12 Cap Undefeated Season With Elite Championship

[November 12, 2016 – Harmon, Guam] – The Wings’ U12 team capped its undefeated season with the first-ever U12 championship title of the Aloha Maid Minetgot Cup Elite Youth League following the team’s 3-1 win over the ASC Trust Islanders on Nov. 5 at the Guam Football Association National Training Center.

Championship match MVP and the division’s Golden Boot winner Nainoa Norton of the Wings led all scorers with a pair of goals and teammate Andrew Choi also scored. Ethan “E.J.” Sablan scored the Islanders’ lone goal of the contest.

Following the championship match, Norton was awarded with trophies for Golden Boot and championship match MVP.

Teammate Mason Bonner received the league’s U12 Golden Glove winner as the division’s top goalkeeper. The Guam Shipyard Wolverines were awarded the U12 Fair Play Award.

The Wings dominated the division, finishing with a perfect 6-0 record before playoffs and amassing an astonishing +50 goal differential.
