25 Nov Wings FC take over Bud Light G League top spot in Week 3
[November 24, 2025 – Harmon, Guam] Wings FC take over the No. 1 spot following Week 3 matches of the Bud Light G League Women 2025-2026 season Sunday at the Guam Football Association National Training Center.
After the league’s previous top two teams, Heavy Hitters Southern Heat and NAPA Rovers FC, battled to a 4-4 draw Sunday, Wings FC defeated Quality Distributors FC 16-0 to officially move up in league standings, the lone team boasting a perfect 3-0 record.
Allyana Li and Yae Kawauchi finished with a hat trick each for Wings FC and teammates Hinengi San Nicolas, Giselle Dahilig, and Analea Meno scored two each. Isa Tainatongo, Jinae Teria, Aubrey Castro and Ahela’aoku’upu’uwai Kaae also scored in the win.
Heat’s Taylor Camin led all scorers with a hat trick and teammate Cindy Maestrecampo scored the team’s other goal. Franshay Pangelinan scored twice for the Rovers and teammates Cassandra Kido and Arianna Bishop also scored. Bishop scored the eventual game-tying goal in the 68th minute.
In Sunday’s other match, the Häagen-Dazs Islanders FC defeated Sidekick SC 7-4. Aubrey Ibanez led all scorers with four for the winning team and teammate Mylie Navarro scored twice. Aryana Magbanua scored the Islanders’ other goal. Brianna Crisostomo scored a hat trick for Sidekick SC and teammate Kimberly Kono also scored.
In Saturday’s Week 3 matches, Guam Shipyard I battled to a scoreless draw with the Bank of Guam Strykers.
The U16 Women’s National Development Team defeated Guam Shipyard II 2-1 with one goal each from Ivy and Hayden Wilson. Charlie Mesa scored Guam Shipyard II’s goal in second-half stoppage time.
As it stands, Wings FC tops league standings with a perfect 3-0 record with a +23 goal differential.
Heavy Hitters Heat and NAPA Rovers FC follow respectively at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions with an identical 2-0-1 record. The Heat have the advantage with a +20 goal differential compared to the Rovers’ +16 goal differential.
The U16 Women’s team and Häagen-Dazs Islanders FC follow respectively at the No. 4 and No. 5 positions with an identical 2-1 record. The U16 Women’s team holds the slight advantage with a +1 goal differential compared to the Islanders’ zero goal differential.
2025 runner up Guam Shipyard I (1-1-1) is currently No. 6, followed by Guam Shipyard II (1-2). Defending champions Bank of Guam Strykers FC (0-2-1) are still looking for its first win and currently are in the eighth spot. Sidekick SC and Quality Distributors FC, respectively, are No. 9 and No. 10 in league standings.
The Heat’s Taylor Camin leads the Golden Boot race with 12 goals in three matches, followed by the Islanders’ Aubrey Ibanez with 10. The Rovers’ Franshay Pangelinan and Arianna Bishop are No. 3 and No. 4, respectively, with eight and five goals.
Wings FC’s Deseha Mendiola leads the Golden Glove standings, with zero goals allowed in 202 minutes played.
The Bud Light G League Women take a break for Thanksgiving and will resume Dec. 6.
In upcoming fixtures on Dec. 6, the Bank of Guam Strykers FC will take on the U16 Women’s National Development Team and Guam Shipyard I will play against Sidekick SC. Both matches kick off at 4 p.m. at GFA.
In Dec. 7’s tripleheader, Guam Shipyard II will play against NAPA Rovers FC at 12 noon, followed by Häagen-Dazs Islanders FC against Quality Distributors FC at 2 p.m. Wings FC will take on Heavy Hitters Southern Heat in the battle of undefeated teams at 4 p.m. to close out the week of matches.
