Triple J Youth League Fall 2017 Season Past Halfway Mark

[October 15, 2017 – Harmon, Guam] – Over 100 youth soccer teams braved the rain Saturday, moving past the halfway point of the Triple J Auto Group Robbie Webber Youth Soccer League Fall 2017 season at the Guam Football Association National Training Center.

In Week 5 matches of the 10-week season, the ASC Trust Islanders Betde won the battle of undefeated teams, winning 7-2 against Sidekick SC Blue in the U13 division.

In other U13 division matches, the Guam Shipyard Wolverines defeated the Bank of Guam Strykers 5-0, the Rovers defeated NBG Flash Point 5-3, the Matson Southern Heat defeated the ASC Trust Islanders Apaka 3-0, the Sidekick SC Silver edged the Barrigada Crusaders 2-1, the GPSI Southern Cobras won 4-2 over Tumon Typhoons Soccer Club, and the ASC Trust Islanders Isa battled to a 3-3 draw with Community First/Days Inn Dededo Soccer Club.

In the U15 division, the GPSI Southern Cobras stay undefeated with a 6-0 shutout win over the ASC Trust Islanders Betde. The Guam Shipyard Wolverines, also undefeated through Week 5 matches, picked up a 5-0 win over Quality Distributors. The Barrigada Crusaders were the division’s other winning team, defeating the Tumon Typhoons Soccer Club 3-1.

The GPSI Southern Cobras continue to dominate the U18 division, earning its fourth shutout in as many matches after blanking the ASC Trust Islanders Betde in the early morning match. In the day’s other U18 division match, the Barrigada Crusaders defeated Matson Southern Heat 6-1.

In U10 Level 1 division matches, the Bank of Guam Strykers won 3-0 over Tumon Typhoons Soccer Club Black, Wings FC Red defeated Quality Distributors, and the Bombers SC defeated the GPSI Southern Cobras. The division also featured two draws in Week 5: a 2-2 draw between Community First/Days Inn Dededo Soccer Club and the ASC Trust Islanders Betde and a 1-all match between Tumon Typhoon Soccer Club Red and Wings FC Black.

In week 7 matches of the Aloha Maid Minetgot Cup Elite Youth League U15 division also played Saturday, Wings FC Red defeated the Bank of Guam Strykers 9-0 with a hat trick by Tayler Bonner and two each from Taiga Simon and Matthew Iseke. Morgan McKenna and Robert Niu also scored in the win. The Tigers and Community First/Days Inn Dededo Soccer Club battled to a 3-3 draw. John Rafael Garcia scored twice for the Tigers and Allan Aranas also scored. Janeson Quitano scored twice for Dededo and teammate Logan Concepcion also scored.

In week 9 matches of the Minetgot Cup’s U13 division, Community First/Days Inn Dededo Soccer Club sneak into the No. 4 position in standings with a 5-0 win over the Bank of Guam Strykers. Kevin Gatdula scored a hat trick in the win and teammates Zaven Piolo and Drake Fejerang also scored. The ASC Trust Islanders stay undefeated in the top spot with a 2-1 edge over Wings FC. Brock Larsen and Adriel Gutierrez scored for the winning team and Taiyo Kanekatsu scored for the Wings.
