Triple J RW Youth League Returns With Week 4 Matches

[March 12, 2017 – Harmon, Guam] – Thousands of athletes in the Triple J Auto Group Robbie Webber Youth Soccer League returned to the pitch after a weeklong break Saturday at the Guam Football Association National Training Center.

In the U18 division, the ASC Trust Islanders Betde moved up to the top spot in division standings following an 8-0 win over the previously undefeated FC Barrigada Crusaders.

Following the Islanders in division standings are last season’s champions, the EFR Southern Cobras Black, after the team’s 5-4 edge of the Tigers. Though both the Islanders and Cobras are equal in total points gained at seven, the Islanders hold a goal differential advantage to take the No. 1 spot.

In the division’s other match of the day, Matson Southern Heat defeated the EFR Southern Cobras Grey.

In the U15 division, the EFR Southern Cobras stay undefeated through three matches with the team’s third consecutive shutout, a 7-0 win over Tumon Typhoons SC.

In other matches, FC Barrigada Crusaders defeated Quality Distributors and the Guam Shipyard Wolverines won against the ASC Trust Islanders Asut 8-0.

In the U13 division, the Tumon Typhoons SC defeated previously undefeated Sidekick SC 5-2. In other matches, the ASC Trust Islanders Asut stay perfect with an 8-0 victory over the MWR Trojans, Guam Shipyard Wolverines White defeated ASC Trust Islanders Apaka 5-1, the EFR Southern Cobras defeated Community First/Days Inn Dededo Soccer Club 6-3, Bank of Guam Strykers slipped past the FC Barrigada Crusaders Edge 2-1 and Matson Southern Heat remains undefeated with a 2-1 edge over FC Barrigada Crusaders Chrome.

Matches in the U6, U8, and U10 divisions also returned to action Saturday.

The Triple J youth league continues Mar. 18 with Week 5 matches. For this week’s matches, the U13, U15, and U18 divisions will feature earlier kick off times in order for all matches to conclude in time for Soccer Madness, the GFA 6th Annual Girls High School Preseason Challenge Cup. The preseason tournament, with support from Japan Football Association, is the third event scheduled this month in celebration of AFC Women’s Football Day.
