Triple J Robbie Webber Youth League Spring ’18 Begins

[February 11, 2018 – Harmon, Guam] – A total of 127 goals were scored in the U11 division through to U18 on opening day of the 2018 Triple J Auto Group Robbie Webber Youth Soccer League Spring season Saturday at the Guam Football Association National Training Center.

Over 1,200 youth players registered to compete on opening day for their respective teams in eight different divisions: U6, U8, U10, U10 Girls, U11, U13, U15, and U18. The U8 division consists of the most number of teams: 27.

In addition to league matches, the Triple J Auto Group sales team was on site offering test drives on a variety of Kia vehicles as part of its “Cruise for a Cause” event. For each test drive, Triple J Auto Group donated $25 to Guam Football Association and Make A Wish Foundation Guam and CNMI chapter.

In U11 division matches played on opening day, Tumon Typhoons Soccer Club-IDL blanked the NAPA Rovers, ASC Trust Islanders Betde defeated Quality Distributors, Wings defeated Sidekick SC Blue 7-3, FC Barrigada Crusaders defeated Bombers SC 5-2, NBG Riptides defeated Sidekick SC White 8-0, Guam Shipyard Wolverines defeated the GPSI Southern Cobras 5-2, and the Bank of Guam Strykers defeated Tumon Typhoons Soccer Club 7-1. The ASC Trust Islanders Asut and the Matson Southern Heat also picked up wins on opening day, winning via forfeit over Community First/Days Inn Dededo Soccer Club and the Tigers.

In U13 division matches, Community First/Days Inn Dededo Soccer Club take the top spot in league standings with a shutout win over the Guam Shipyard Wolverines, Quality Distributors defeated the ASC Trust Islanders Betde 6-0, the Sidekick SC defeated Matson Southern Heat 3-0, Tumon Typhoons Soccer Club defeated the GPSI Southern Cobras 2-1, and the FC Barrigada Crusaders defeated the NAPA Rovers 1-0.

In the U15 division, Community First/Days Inn Dededo Soccer Club defeated the Guam Shipyard Wolverines 4-2, the FC Barrigada Crusaders defeated the NAPA Rovers 1-0, and the ASC Trust Islanders defeated Quality Distributors 4-2. The GPSI Southern Cobras won via forfeit over Tumon Typhoons Soccer Club.

In the U18 division, the NAPA Rovers blanked the FC Barrigada Crusaders and the Guam Shipyard Wolverines won via forfeit over Tumon Typhoons Soccer Club.
