24 Nov Strykers, Sidekicks, Islanders, Rovers Win in BSL Week 5
[November 24, 2019 – Harmon, Guam] In Saturday’s Budweiser Soccer League Premier Division matches, Bank of Guam Strykers defeated Manhoben Lalahi 4-1 with goals from Ian Mariano, Aidan Dickson, Jehn Joyner, and Jason Cunliffe. Christian Kido scored for Manhoben Lalahi.
The Sidekicks defeated Quality Distributors 3-0 with goals from Charles Paulino, Anthony Aguon, and Jeremy Copple.
Islanders FC slipped past Lots of Art Tattoo Heat 5-4. Noah Duenas scored twice for the Islanders and teammates Inochi Recella, Eddie Cho, and Michael Castaneda also scored. Riley Jones Taijeron finished with a hat trick for LOA Heat and teammate Fred Alig III scored once.
NAPA Rovers FC defeated the University of Guam Tritons 5-2 with two goals from Matt Robles and one each from James Lee, Shaun-Paul Martinez, and Mark Chargualaf. Ryoga Okada and Shashikant Kotwal scored for UOG.
In Men’s Amateur Division matches, FC Beercelona defeated the Crushers FC 3-1 with goals from Vince Cruz, Art Toves, and Hiro Asoshina. Jake Concepcion scored for the Crushers.
Bank of Guam Strykers II defeated Häagen Dazs 5-0 with goals from Stephen Tomasiak, Joseph Green, Jeremy Wendal, Carlo Cortez, and Donovan Ybanez.
Islanders FC II defeated Pago Bay Disasters of Sidelines 21-1. Todd Pangelinan and Kyle Legozzie each scored five for the Islanders and teammates Aaron Blaz and Christian Cortez each contributed a hat trick in the win. Sora Recella, John Halili, Patson Haimin, Marc Pagaduan, and Aljurrell Grape also scored. Ratu Uluiviti scored Pago Bay’s lone goal.
GWM Bombers SC defeated NAPA Rovers II 9-0 led by Philip Washington’s hat trick. Eugene Hayes and Travis Elswick each scored twice in the win and teammates Abel Flores and Scott Noah also scored.
In Masters Division matches IT&E Boonie Dawgs and Gino’s played to a 0-0 draw.
NAPA Rovers Masters defeated Eurocar 3-1 with two goals from Christopher Harris and one from Juan Nieto. Joseph Stadler scored for Eurocar.
Sidekicks SC’s Jeremy Copple and Quality Distributors FC’s Takefumi Inoue battle for possession of the ball in a Week 5 match of the Budweiser Soccer League Premier Division at the Guam Football Association National Training Center. Sidekicks won 3-0.
