Southern Cobras Topple No. 1 Rovers in Budweiser Soccer

[March 16, 2015 – Harmon, Guam] – The Southern Cobras toppled the Budweiser Soccer League’s defending champions and current top-ranked team, Rovers FC, 5-2 in a Week 17 Division I match at the Guam Football Association National Training Center Monday evening.

The Cobras’ Keith Surber fueled an explosive second half for his team with a hat trick to seal the win. Ashton Surber also scored in the second half for the Cobras and teammate Jan Flores scored the lone first-half goal. Jason Cunliffe and Keita Yoshida scored for the Rovers FC.

Despite the loss, the Rovers still lead league standings with a 12-2-1 record. The Payless Supermarkets Strykers FC (11-2) currently are in second place with two less games played than the Rovers.
