Six Top Division Men’s Teams Stay Perfect Through Week 6

[October 30, 2017 – Harmon, Guam] – Six out of 17 teams remain undefeated through Week 6 of the Budweiser Soccer League Premier Division played at the Guam Football Association National Training Center.

The University of Guam Tritons allowed their first two goals of the season against Pago Bay Disasters, but remain undefeated with an 8-2 win Sunday. Dylan Naputi led all scorers with four goals and teammates Kyle Legozzie, Jacques Diambra-Odi, Noah Duenas, and Todd Pangelinan also scored in the win. Paul Estaquio and Ryan Palomo scored one each for Pago Bay.

In other matches, the undefeated Islanders FC lead the league in goals scored with 22 in two matches and zero goals allowed so far following the team’s 6-0 win over Haya United Wednesday evening. Aaron Blaz, Kris Fernandez, Brandon Auayan, Jordan Jasmin, Kyle Perez, and Michael Crowley each scored once in the shutout win.

In Friday evening’s matches, Isla de Ladrones FC stay undefeated with 6-1 win over the Sidekicks. Ashton Surber led all scorers with five goals and teammate Dominic Gadia also scored. Joshua Cepeda scored the Sidekicks’ lone goal.

Bank of Guam Strykers B picked up their second win to stay undefeated with a 4-1 victory over Quality Distributors. Nathan Schneider scored twice and teammates James Lee and Christian Cortez also scored. Antonio Prieto scored for Quality.

In Saturday evening’s matches, Bombers SC defeated Eurocar FC 2-1 with goals from Samuel Brokop and Travis Elswick. Fook Liao scored for Eurocar.

Crushers FC picked up their first win of the season with a 2-1 edge over Familia FC. Jonathan Turner and Vincent Espinal scored for the Crushers and Jared Quichocho scored for Familia FC.

The other two undefeated teams, NAPA Rovers and Bank of Guam Strykers I received byes in Week 6.

Week 7 begins Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. featuring University of Guam Tritons against Bank of Guam Strykers B in a clash of undefeated teams. Friday evening’s double header will first feature the NAPA Rovers against FC Beercelona followed by the Crushers FC taking on Haya United.

Lots of Art Tattoo Heat takes on the Pago Bay Disasters in the first of two matches Saturday evening beginning at 7 p.m. followed by the Bank of Guam Strykers I against the Bobcat Rovers at 9 p.m.

Sunday will feature the Islanders FC against Quality Distributors.
