[June 24, 2018 – Harmon, Guam] – The NAPA Rovers will take on the Bank of Guam Strykers I for the Jamaican Grill 11th Annual GFA Cup championship title Saturday at the Guam Football Association National Training Center.

The NAPA Rovers, champions of the recently concluded Budweiser Men’s Soccer One League and two-time winners of Guam’s premier men’s soccer tournament, will have the opportunity to add hardware to their 2018 haul in the tournament’s final match against the Bank of Guam Strykers, set to kick off at 7 p.m.

The Rovers defeated the Bombers SC 10-1 in last week’s semifinal match with four goals from Min Sung Choi and a hat trick by Matt Robles.

Captain Mark Chargualaf scored twice in the win and his brother Francis Chargualaf scored the Rovers’ other goal. Eugene Obiri scored the Bombers’ lone goal.

In the top half of the bracket, the Bank of Guam Strykers defeated the Islanders FC 3-1 for a spot in the 2018 championship match. Joshua Calvo, Clayton Mitchell, and Scott Spindel scored for the Strykers in the win and Kyle Perez scored the Islanders’ lone goal.

The Strykers were most recently in the final match of the tournament in 2015, falling to eventual champions Guam Shipyard in a penalty kick shootout after a 1-1 draw in regulation time.

Following the 2018 championship match, a short awards ceremony will be held to recognize the champions, runner-up, and championship match MVP.

There is no admission fee to watch the final match. Jamaican Grill will be on site to provide food for purchase.
