Rovers See Top Spot in Two Divisions Before Holiday Break

[December 15, 2015 – Harmon, Guam] – The Rovers lead both Budweiser Soccer League Premier Division and Division 2 following the league’s final matches before the holiday break.

Premier Division
Two-time defending champions Rovers FC DI earned a comfortable 5-2 win against last season’s runner-up Strykers FC Dec. 13 at the Guam Football Association National Training Center. Mauro Rodriguez scored twice in the win and teammates Abraham Gutierrez, Natsuki Recella, and Yaw Antwi-Agyei “Nana” scored once each. Marcus Lopez and Bill Kerr scored for the Strykers.

Guam Shipyard stays in second with a 6-1 win over Quality Distributors. Min Choi led all scorers with four goals and teammates Andre Gadia and Mark Chargualaf also scored in the win. Ryu Topasna scored Quality’s lone goal.

Southern Cobras ransacked the Sidekicks 12-1, with Ashton Surber earning a double hat trick to lead his team. Seth Surber and Jan Flores scored twice in the win and Sydney Talledo also scored off a header from an Ashton Surber cross. The Cobras’ other goal came on a Sidekicks own goal. Michael Sgro scored the Sidekicks’ lone goal.
