Referees Engage in FIFA Course for Elite Youth League

[September 6, 2016 – Harmon, Guam] Close to a dozen participants completed requirements for the 2016 FIFA Referee Course with instructors Eladio Manansala, James Oh, and George Stewart at the Guam Football Association National Training Center from Aug. 29 to Sept. 2.

The FIFA course is one of several beginning and refresher courses for Guam’s referees, set to begin officiating youth matches in the upcoming Aloha Maid Minetgot Cup Elite Youth League, the Triple J Auto Group Robbie Webber Youth Soccer League, and upcoming adult leagues – Budweiser Soccer League and Bud Light Women’s Soccer League.

Referees engaged in mostly classroom sessions with an emphasis on the Laws of the Game and updates to the Laws of the Game to begin enforcing in the Fall season leagues.

Course participants were Rhoda Bamba, Paula Mitchell, Erlissa Delfin, Royanne Salas, Isabel Teria, Michael Picard, Anisa Topasna, Yaw Antwi-Agyei, David Drews, Michael Lee, and Jose Gallego.
