Quality Distributors Win SP17 Minetgot Cup U18 Division

[April 23, 2017 – Harmon, Guam] – Quality Distributors FC’s U18 team claimed the 2017 Aloha Maid Minetgot Cup Elite Youth League Spring season U18 division championship with a trio of second-half goals against Wings Red Saturday at the Guam Football Association National Training Center.

No. 3 Quality defeated top-ranked Wings Red 3-1 with goals from Eddie Huang, James Lee, and Samuel Larkin. Devan Mendiola scored for Wings Red.

During the awards ceremony held immediately after the final match, Lee was awarded the championship match MVP award. Mendiola was awarded the league’s Golden Boot award for scoring the most goals in the regular season and teammate Sean Evans won the Golden Glove award for Best Goalkeeper in the league. Bank of Guam Strykers won the league’s Fair Play Award.

Wings FC’s U13 and U15 division teams will have a chance to hoist a championship trophy in the elite league when the club team takes on the ASC Trust Islanders’ U13 and U15 teams in the finals of their respective divisions.
