PFC Lady Crushers Win Women’s Soccer Title

[April 25, 2016 – Harmon, Guam] – The Personal Finance Center Lady Crushers were awarded the Bud Light Women’s Soccer League Spring 2016 Champions trophy during an awards ceremony following the team’s 5-2 win over the Lady Rovers in the final match of league playoffs Sunday evening at the Guam Football Association National Training Center.

In the championship match, Anjelica Perez scored twice for the Lady Crushers and teammates Skyylerblu Johnson, Kimberly Sherman, and Maria Abbey Iriarte also scored in the win. Laura Nadeau and Courtney Salgado scored for the Lady Rovers.

The Lady Crushers are on an undefeated streak dating back to Nov. 8, 2015 in Week 5 play of that season’s Bud Light Women’s Soccer League. The Lady Crushers are also the three-time defending champions of the Women’s GFA Cup tournament.

In the consolation match, Hyundai edged the Isla Paint and Roofing Supply Lady Strykers 2-1 with goals from Arisa Recella and Olivia Flores. Koharu Minato scored for the Lady Strykers. Hyundai was recognized as bronze finishers of the league in an awards ceremony following the championship match.

Also recognized during the league’s awards ceremony was Skyylerblu Johnson, winner of the 2016 Spring season Golden Boot award. Johnson scored the most goals of all players in the league this past season – 15 in six regular season matches.
