06 Oct NAPA Rovers FC, Wings FC to play for 2025 Budweiser G League crown
[October 6, 2025 – Harmon, Guam] Defending champion Wings FC will take on undefeated No. 1 NAPA Rovers FC in the championship match of the Budweiser G League Haya Division 3 p.m. Sunday at the Guam Football Association National Training Center.
Noah Duenas, Berm Betimben, and Edler De Castro each scored once in the Wings FC’s 3-0 shutout victory over No. 3 Sidekick SC in the league’s first semifinal match played Oct. 4.
Justin Cruz and George Martinez each scored a hat trick in NAPA Rovers FC’s 10-1 win over the Bank of Guam Strykers FC in the league’s other semifinal match. Johnnathan Archbold, Michael Castaneda, Mark Chargualaf, and Ryan Quitugua also scored for the winning team. Andrew Stenson scored the lone goal for the Strykers FC.
Wings FC will be looking to threepeat, winning the top flight men’s league in 2023 and 2024. The Rovers will be looking to earn its first top flight men’s league title since winning six consecutive times between 2013 and 2019.
Head-to-head during the regular season, NAPA Rovers FC are 2-0 against Wings FC, winning 2-1 in Week 5 play on May 4 and winning again 6-2 in Week 14 play on Aug. 17.
NAPA Rovers FC finished with a league best 13-0-1 record, with it lone draw with Bank of Guam Strykers FC in a Week 15 match on Aug. 24. Wings FC finished with a 11-2-1 record, with its two losses against NAPA Rovers FC and its lone draw with Quality Distributors FC in a Week 16 match on Aug. 31.
Before the championship match, Sidekick SC and Bank of Guam Strykers FC will play in the league’s consolation match beginning at 12 noon. The teams are 1-1 in head-to-head competition during the regular season. The Strykers first defeated Sidekick SC 6-2 in a Week 9 match on Jun. 1. Sidekick SC defeated the Strykers 4-1 in a Week 18 match on Sept. 14.
Sidekick SC finished third in league standings during the regular season with a 8-6 record. Bank of Guam Strykers FC finished behind Sidekick SC with a 7-5-2 record.
An awards presentation will be held at the conclusion of the championship match. NAPA Rovers FC’s Justin Cruz will be recognized as the league’s Golden Boot winner, scoring a league-high 49 goals in 14 matches.
Teammate William Fink will be awarded the league’s Golden Glove award as the top goalkeeper, conceding only nine goals in 828 minutes and earning two clean sheets in matches played during the regular season.
There is no entrance fee to watch the matches.
