Lady Strykers Win Bud Light Women’s League 2019 Title

[May 28, 2019 – Harmon, Guam] The Bank of Guam Lady Strykers completed the Bud Light Women’s Soccer League Premier Division season with a league best 8-1-2 record – and were recognized during an awards presentation event Sunday evening at the Guam Football Association National Training Center.

Also recognized were silver finishers, Guam Shipyard, finishing the 2018-2019 season with a second-best 8-2-1 record.

The awards presentation event also included recognition of winners in the Amateur Division.

• Golden Boot: Alexandra Shimasaki, Heavy Hitters/Nutrition Mission Heat

• Golden Glove: Angelyn Sobrevilla, Bank of Guam Lady Strykers

Heavy Hitters/Nutrition Mission Heat’s Alexandra Shimasaki accepts the Golden Boot Award of the Bud Light Women’s Soccer League Premier Division during an awards ceremony held at the Guam Football Association National Training Center Sunday evening. Shimasaki scored a league-high 11 goals during the season to win the award.

The Bank of Guam Lady Strykers’ Angelyn Sobrevilla accepts the Golden Glove Award of the Bud Light Women’s Soccer League Premier Division during an awards ceremony held at the Guam Football Association National Training Center Sunday evening. Sobrevilla had the league-best goalkeeping record, allowing only an average of 0.8 goals per match with four clean sheets.
