Lady Crushers, Lady Rovers Battle to Draw in Women’s Soccer

[April 26, 2015 – Harmon, Guam] – The Bud Light Women’s Soccer League’s top two teams – the Lady Rovers and the Doosan Lady Crushers – battled to a 2-2 draw in a Week 13 match at the Guam Football Association National Training Center.

Colleen Naden and Simie Willter scored for the Lady Crushers. Catherine Kendall scored both goals for the Lady Rovers.

With the draw, the Lady Rovers continue as the league’s top team and the Lady Crushers hold a slight edge over Quality Distributors in head-to-head competition to stay in second place.

In other matches, Guam Shipyard defeated Hyundai 6-3 with four goals from Erica Quichocho and one each from Demie Rose Brennan and Britney Blau. Jalana Garcia scored twice for Hyundai and Evie Garrido scored the team’s other goal.

With the win, Guam Shipyard moved up a spot to the No. 5 position, leapfrogging the Lady Strykers.

Quality Distributors defeated the Lady Strykers 5-0 with two goals each from Paris “Mames” Blas and Hopemary Calip and one from Estelle Alig.
