22 Dec Kaae verbally commits to Kashima Gakuen High School in Japan
[December 21, 2025 – Harmon, Guam] Guam’s Ahela’a Oku’upu’uwai Kaae has verbally committed to attend and compete for Kashima Gakuen High School in Japan beginning in Spring 2026.
Kashima Gakuen is widely recognized as one of Japan’s top women’s football programs, competing in the U18 Women’s First Division as well as the Prince Takamado Trophy Premier League, the highest level of youth football in the country. The program is known for developing elite players who advance to university and professional levels in Japan and abroad.
Kaae is extremely grateful and blessed for the opportunity to join such a prestigious program. She looks forward to learning, growing, and contributing to Kashima Gakuen both on and off the field in the near future, she said.
“This opportunity is truly an honor,” said Kaae. “I would like to thank our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, my family, coaches, and supporters who have helped guide and support me along this journey. I’m excited for the challenge ahead and to represent Kashima Gakuen with pride.”
