Guam U17 Boys National Team Score Twice in Hong Kong

[March 29, 2016 – Harmon, Guam] The Guam U17 Boys national team played three matches in three days at the 2016 Jockey Club International Youth Invitational held in Hong Kong over Easter weekend.

Guam fell to Chinese Taipei 4-1 on opening day, with Takumi Ito scoring the team’s lone goal in the 53rd minute. Guam followed with 2-0 loss to Hong Kong on Day 2 and finished with a 3-1 loss to Singapore on the tournament’s final day. Jordan Jasmin scored for Guam in the 50th minute against Singapore.

The team departed Mar. 25 and returned Mar. 29.

The Guam U14 Girls National team will also have the opportunity to play in the upcoming 2016 Jockey Club Girls’ International Youth Invitational, also in Hong Kong. Guam will play against Singapore, Thailand, and the host country in the girls’ tournament.
