Guam Masakåda, Chinese Taipei Honored at EAFF Dinner

[July 5, 2016 – Tumon, Guam] – The Guam Masakåda and the Chinese Taipei men’s team were honored as champions of the their respective competitions of the EAFF E-1 Football Championship Round 1 Guam during an awards dinner at Samurai restaurant at Fiesta Resort Guam.

Recognized during the women’s competition awards presentation Sunday evening was Guam’s Samantha Kaufman and Paige Surber, the women’s competition top scorers. Both players scored three goals in two matches. Kaufman also was selected as the tournament MVP. Guam also received the champions trophy as winners of Round 1. All competing teams also received a diploma from EAFF.

Recognized during the men’s competition awards presentation Monday evening was Chinese Taipei’s Lin Chieh-Hsun, the men’s competition top scorer, who also was selected as the tournament MVP. Chinese Taipei also received the champions trophy as winners of Round 1. Each team in the men’s competition received a gift from the Guam FA and a diploma from EAFF.
