[August 25, 2025 – Harmon, Guam] As part of Guam Football Association’s 50th Anniversary celebration this year, the GFA Marketing Committee presents The Golden Drive Charity Golf Classic, set to tee off Saturday, Sept. 13 at the LeoPalace Resort Guam.

“This charity golf tournament is one of many activities slated for this year for the local community to join us in commemorating 50 years of football in Guam,” said Joe Cepeda, GFA General Secretary. “As we look to many more fruitful years of football in Guam, we thank all of our local business sponsors for the support over the years and the local community that supports Guam’s national teams and GFA initiatives on and off the pitch. Sponsors and golfers in this upcoming event will be boosting Guam’s young football talent in the Guam National Program through the GFA National Team Scholarship fund and others in the community involved with VARO and GY671.”

Registration for the tournament is $125 per golfer and $250 for a team. Showtime is 11 a.m. with a 12 noon go time. The format is a two-man best ball/select shot, tee to hole.

Champion sponsors for the tournament are ASC Trust, Bank of Hawai’i, PHR Ken Micronesia, Inc. Haagen Dazs, First Class Travel Agency, Mid Pac Far East, TakeCare Insurance, Quality Distributors, KIAN, Tan Holdings, and the Tan Siu Lin Foundation. The top three teams at the conclusion of the tournament will win trophies and prizes. The grand prize for the tournament’s lucky draw during its awards banquet is a round-trip ticket to Manila, Philippines.
