Bud Light Women’s Soccer League Fall 2017 Kicks Off

[September 18, 2017 – Harmon, Guam] – Defending champions Personal Finance Center Lady Crushers take the early lead in the 2017 Bud Light Women’s Soccer League Fall season standings with a 4-1 win over Quality Distributors on opening day Sunday at the Guam Football Association National Training Center.

Fourteen-year-old Samantha Fegurgur scored on her debut in the women’s league for the current league-leaders and teammates Anjelica Perez and Colleen Naden also scored before Quality’s Paige Surber pulled one back for her team in the 81st minute. Perez later scored her team’s fourth goal in the 87th minute for the final score.

Spring season runner-up NAPA Lady Rovers also began their Fall season bid with a win, edging the Bank of Guam Lady Strykers 2-1 in the first match of Sunday’s triple header. Brianne Leon Guerrero and Shyann Roberto scored for the Lady Rovers and Alexy Dacanay scored for the Lady Strykers.

Nutrition Mission Heat won 2-1 against Hyundai in the late match with two goals from Emily Perkins. Arisa Recella scored Hyundai’s lone goal in the 88th minute.

Women’s league action continues Sunday with the Lady Crushers taking on Hyundai at 3 p.m. followed by the Lady Rovers against Heat at 5 p.m. Quality Distributors play the late match against the Lady Strykers kicking off at 7 p.m.
