Bank of Guam 10th Annual GFA Cup Tourney Bracket Set

[April 1, 2017 – Harmon, Guam] The Guam Football Association Men’s Committee, with the support of Bank of Guam released the Bank of Guam 10th Annual GFA Cup tournament bracket following the official draw held Saturday at the GFA National Training Center second-floor lanai.

The official draw was rebroadcast during halftime of the Budweiser Soccer League Premier Division Week 18 match during its Internet live stream on http://www.sorensenmediagroup.com/reddragon

William Li, Bank of Guam Assistant Vice President and HR Utility Officer, and Gian Tenorio, chairman of the GFA Men’s Committee and Executive Committee member, took turns drawing lots to fill the official tournament bracket.

The bottom eight Division II teams, as well as all Masters Division teams were put in a pot to play in the tournament’s pre-qualification stage, with each winner moving on to play in the tournament’s main draw.

The top three Division II teams, in addition to No. 5 Haya United from the Premier Division, were drawn directly into the tournament’s main draw. The remaining top four teams from the Premier Division, will be placed in the main draw based on their rankings at the conclusion of the Budweiser Soccer League.

GFA Men’s Administrator Sam San Gil made all arrangements for the official draw with support from Bank of Guam and Red Dragon Sports.
