Coaches earn 2025 GFA “D” Coaching Certificate from two-weekend course

[February 17, 2025 – Harmon, Guam] Over a dozen coaches earned their Guam Football Association “D” Coaching Certificate following the second and final part of the course last weekend with Coach Educators Ross Awa and Manfred Preschern, as well as Jeroen Bos for the Goalkeeping sessions.

Coaches receiving their certificates are Monique Alconaba, Winard Azaglo, Mariah Baza, Lawrence Flores, Sean Halehale, Luke Johnson, Takayuki Kobayashi, Ashley Marques, Carl Mor, Billy Navarrete, Rebecca Perez, Vanessa Toves, Andy Ursua, Jr. and Peter Walls.

The next coaching course offered by GFA will be the GFA “C” Coaching Diploma Course, with the first course of the year starting Feb. 28.

The GFA “D” Coaching Certificate, or its equivalent, is the pre-requisite for the GFA “C” Coaching Diploma. The GFA “C” Coaching Diploma is the minimum coaching qualification required for Head Coaches in the Budweiser G League, Bud Light G League Women, and competitive divisions in the Triple J Auto Group Robbie Webber Youth League.

The internationally recognized GFA “C” Coaching Diploma, or its equivalent, is the minimum coaching qualification required to earn higher international coaching licenses.
