[July 24, 2024 – Harmon, Guam] One goal each from Sarah Benavente and Olivia Haddock were enough to seal a 2-1 win over Mongolia in Day 2 of the NMI FA Women’s U21 Three Nations Cup Wednesday in Saipan.

Benavente opened scoring in additional time in the first half, finishing a pass into the box by left back Richelle Ragadio for the halftime advantage.

Haddock doubled Guam’s advantage in the 65th minute, taking an Emily Walton throw in on the right side and muscling through a scrambling Mongolia defense in the penalty area. Haddock took advantage of a Mongolia short back pass to the goalkeeper and managed to get a tap on the ball for the finish.

Mongolia prevented a clean sheet for Guam moments before the final whistle, with Khaliut Munkhgarid scoring off a penalty kick in the 90+2 minute for the 2-1 final score.
