Islanders, Dolphins to compete for Girls interscholastic football 2024 title

[May 14, 2024 – Harmon, Guam] Interscholastic Girls High School Football League MVP Analea Meno and the No. 2 Southern High School Dolphins survived a semifinal scare to book the team’s ticket to the championship match against No. 1 John F. Kennedy High School Islanders set for Saturday at the Guam Football Association National Training Center.

The Dolphins needed extra time to slip past No. 6 Guam High School Panthers 3-2. In the day’s other semifinal fixture, the Islanders trounced No. 4 Harvest Christian Academy Eagles 5-2.

The Islanders will take on the Dolphins at 4 p.m. Saturday to determine the 2024 league champion, while the Eagles will play against the Panthers for third place beginning at 1:30 p.m.

The admission fee to watch Saturday’s double header is $5 per person. Tickets may be purchased online in advance at https://secure.hafatickets.com/gfa/tickets/interscholastic-girls-hs-football-match or at the gate Saturday afternoon.

Meno was selected by school coaches as the league MVP during the All-Island selection voting event May 7. Meno, a midfielder, was selected with 11 other players for the All-Island First Team.
