New spectator seating open for Girls HS soccer semis

[May 16, 2017 - Harmon, Guam] Guam Football Association will officially open newly installed spectator seating for fans attending the IIAAG Girls High School Soccer League playoffs at the GFA National Training Center beginning with semifinal matches Wednesday evening.

The Harvest Christian Academy Eagles will take on the George Washington High School Geckos in the first of two semifinal matches Wednesday beginning at 5 p.m. Next, the Notre Dame High School Royals will play against the Simon Sanchez High School Sharks at the 7 p.m. kick off slot.

The new seating section, as with other existing seating sections, will be available on a first come, first-served basis.

All spectators must enter through the admission gate located within the facility’s main parking lot to access any seating areas. The admission fee to watch the double header is $5 per person and $2 per student. The same admission fee will be charged for Saturday’s matches featuring the consolation match at 5 p.m., followed by the championship match kicking off at 7 p.m.

The bleachers, installed on the rooftop of the facility’s newest building, will offer new, elevated views of the matches from the opposite side of United Airlines Field 2.

To add to the fan experience, Munchies Guam will be on site to provide food and drinks for sale during the matches on Wednesday and Saturday. Marmela’s Shaved Ice will also be on site with refreshments for sale.

Another first this year will be the use of locker rooms for competing teams located in the newly constructed building, as well as an official tournament walk-out of teams and officials from the building’s tunnel.
