Pahl to run unopposed for GFA Executive Committee Seat

[October 25, 2019 - Harmon, Guam] Wings FC President Duane Pahl will be running unopposed for one vacant seat on Guam Football Association Executive Committee during the organization’s Ordinary Congress Nov. 26 at the GFA National Training Center Lecture Hall.

Frederick Horecky, Chairman of the GFA Electoral Committee, dated Oct. 17, the election process will “remain in compliance with GFA Statutes, Article 33.2, ‘no more than two Executive Committee members may be from the same Member Club of GFA, and here may be two Executive Committee members from the same Club only if at least one is elected as an officer, i.e., President or Vice President’.”

The election will cap a full agenda for GFA Congress members. Items on the agenda also include disseminating of details of the FIFA Contract of Agreed Objectives 2019-2022, FIFA Forward 1.0/2.0 for infrastructure projects, AFC Infrastructure initiative, and the 2018 Auditor’s Report from FIFA, AFC, and local.

The Nov. Congress will be the first featuring the Rovers Football Club as a full member of GFA.

The next Congress will be held in the third quarter of 2020.
