PFC Lady Crushers stop Hyundai for women's futsal title

[August 15, 2016 - Harmon, Guam] The Personal Finance Center Lady Crushers successfully defended their Bud Light Women’s Futsal League title Sunday at the Guam Football Association National Training futsal courts.

The Lady Crushers, ranked No. 2 in playoffs, avenged their lone regular-season loss to Hyundai with a 2-1 victory over the previously undefeated team in the league’s championship match, played through rainy and windy conditions.

The winning team needed just about the entire first half to score with a shot by co-Golden Boot winner Anjelica Perez, as Hyundai put the pressure on its opponent early with a fourth-minute goal by Olivia Flores.

No. 1 Hyundai to take on No. 2 Lady Crushers in futsal final

[August 11, 2016 - Harmon, Guam] No. 1 Hyundai will take No. 2 Personal Finance Center Lady Crushers in the championship match of the 2016 Bud Light Women’s Futsal League Sunday at the Guam Football Association National Training Center futsal courts.

Hyundai cruised to a 3-0 lead early in the first 10 minutes of play against Quality, but in the closing minutes of regulation time, the league’s lone undefeated team was fighting to stay in the match and eventually edged Quality 8-6 in extra time.

Hyundai blew a 4-2 halftime lead, as Quality scored a pair of goals 10 minutes into the second half to level the match at 4-all. A goal from Hyundai’s Honoka Recella in the 34th minute gave the lead back to the league leaders, but Quality managed to level the match again with a shot by Jodie Barnhouse.

Women's Futsal playoffs to begin Sunday evening

[August 4, 2016 - Harmon, Guam] Hyundai finished the 2016 Bud Light Women’s Futsal League regular season unscathed with a 5-0 record and hold onto the No. 1 position moving into league playoffs, scheduled to begin Sunday evening at the Guam Football Association National Training Center futsal courts.

Hyundai continued its winning streak in Week 5, edging the Isla Paint and Roofing Supply Lady Strykers 6-4. Hyundai was led by Demi-Rae Shimizu and Erica Quichocho, both finishing with two goals in the contest. Arisa Recella and Roze San Nicolas also scored in Hyundai’s win. Alexy Dacanay led the Lady Strykers with two goals and teammates Christina Duenas and Koharu Minato also scored.

Hyundai take over top position in women's futsal

[July 14, 2015 - Harmon, Guam] Hyundai takes over the top spot in the Bud Light Women’s Futsal League standings halfway through the 2016 season following Week 3 action at the Guam Football Association National Training Center futsal courts.

Hyundai, one of only two undefeated teams in the league, managed to take down defending champions Personal Finance Center Lady Crushers 5-3 Sunday with a pair of goals from the team’s scoring leader Olivia Flores and one each from Erica Quichocho, Arisa Recella, and Demi-Rae Shimizu. Simie Willter scored all three goals for the Lady Crushers, playing without current Golden Boot leader Anjelica Perez. With the loss, the Lady Crushers move down to the No. 3 position in league standings.

Lady Crushers, Hyundai open futsal league with shutout wins

[June 15, 2016 - Harmon, Guam] Defending champions Personal Finance Center Lady Crushers opened the 2016 Bud Light Women’s Futsal League with a shutout win over Southern Heat Sunday at the Guam Football Association National Training Center futsal courts.

The Lady Crushers took a commanding 6-0 lead at halftime and later tacked on another eight goals in the team’s final tally. Skyylerblu Johnson and Anjelica Perez each scored four goals and teammate Simie Willter scored twice. Kimberly Sherman, Colleen Naden, Carla Haddock, and Mya Sanchez also scored in the win.
