Rovers recognized as sixth-straight Bud League champs

[May 28, 2019 - Harmon, Guam] The NAPA Rovers FC wrapped up the Budweiser Soccer League Premier Division season with the team's sixth straight league title - finishing with an undefeated 19-0-2 record - and were recognized during an awards presentation event Sunday evening at the Guam Football Association National Training Center.

Also recognized were silver finishers, the Bank of Guam Strykers FC, finishing the 2018-2019 season with a second-best 16-3-2 record.

The awards presentation event also included recognition of winners in the Amateur Division and the Masters Division.

• Champions: NAPA Rovers FC

• Second Place: Bank of Guam Strykers FC

• Golden Boot: Min Sung Choi, NAPA Rovers FC

• Golden Glove: Alexander Stenson, Manhoben Lalahi

• Fair Play: Manhoben Lalahi

Budweiser Soccer League Amateur Division

• Champions: University of Guam Tritons

• Golden Boot: Ryoga Okada, University of Guam Tritons

• Golden Glove: Brian Anderson, GWM Bombers SC

• Fair Play: Bank of Guam Strykers II

NAPA Rovers FC's Min Sung Choi accepts the Golden Boot Award of the Budweiser Soccer League Premier Division during an awards ceremony held at the Guam Football Association National Training Center Sunday evening. Choi scored a league-high 36 goals during the season to win the award.

 

Manhoben Lalahi's Alexander Stenson accepts the Golden Glove Award of the Budweiser Soccer League Premier Division during an awards ceremony held at the Guam Football Association National Training Center Sunday evening. Stenson had the league-best goalkeeping record, allowing only an average of 1.8 goals per match with four clean sheets.

 

Manhoben Lalahi's Alexander Stenson accepts the Budweiser Soccer League Premier Division Fair Play award on behalf of the team during an awards ceremony held at the Guam Football Association National Training Center Sunday evening. The Fair Play Award is given to the team with the least amount of cautions during the regular season.
